“We welcome and applaud the recent efforts by the governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia to restore trade ties,” Amy Carlon, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan, told AZERTAC.
“These are significant confidence-building measures that signal both sides are truly committed to the peace agreement they initialed in front of President Trump on August 8. Restoring trade and transportation routes will obviously have an enormous positive effect on the entire region and on both countries' economies.
