Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, met with Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala, the outgoing Ambassador of Colombia to the country, as he concludes his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov hailed the development of current relations between the two countries, expressing his gratitude to the ambassador for his efforts in this area.
The meeting underscored the importance of reciprocal visits and contacts, as well as political and consular consultations, in maintaining and advancing the existing political dialogue between the two countries.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov fondly recalled his meeting with Foreign Minister of Colombia Luis Gilberto Murillo on the sidelines of the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). He emphasized that such contacts play a pivotal role in the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Colombia on a bilateral basis, as well as at the multilateral level within international organizations, such as the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), was highlighted.
Minister Bayramov lauded the contribution of Ambassador Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Colombia, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
The parties also exchanged views on other bilateral issues of mutual concern.
