On November 18, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Husain Al Musallam, President of World Aquatics.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized that the development of sports and physical education in the country is one of the key directions of Azerbaijan’s state policy, and that Azerbaijani athletes receive strong care and support from the government.
He noted that sports infrastructure meeting modern international standards has been established in Azerbaijan, including the construction of numerous Olympic sports complexes in various districts across the country. The Prime Minister also highlighted Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of prestigious international sporting events and world championships.
The officials discussed efforts aimed at advancing and promoting aquatic sports, as well as cooperation with World Aquatics.
