“Artificial intelligence (AI) is undoubtedly impacting journalism and the media. The reason we are here is to fight against fake news, false information, disinformation, and many other related challenges. I’m truly glad that we have this kind of platform where we can come together and discuss the media,” said Giwoong Jung, Professor at South Korea’s Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, in an interview with journalists during the Shusha Global Media Forum.
According to the professor, many countries today are suffering and facing threats due to fake news originating from abroad.
“At present, a lot of fake news about Azerbaijan is circulating in the international community,” he emphasized.
Professor Jung highlighted the importance of the Shusha Global Media Forum in addressing media-related challenges and the influence of AI.
Noting that this is his third visit to Karabakh, he said: “I participated as a speaker in both the first and second forums. I would like to once again express my gratitude for the invitation.”
