A panel session titled “Islamophobia in Different Contexts: Regional Perspectives”, was held as part of the international conference titled “Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas” in Baku.
The session, moderated by Mohammed Alsulami, Founder and President of the International Institute for Iranian Studies in Saudi Arabia, explored the historical and contemporary manifestations of Islamophobia, its political, religious and social impacts.
Speakers at the meeting included Bob Roberts, Co-founder of the Multi-Faith Neighbors Network and President of the Institute for Global Engagement; Khalid Akasheh, former secretary of the Islamic Relations department within the Vatican's Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue; Tural Ganjaliyev, MP of the Milli Majlis; Herizal Hazri, Senior Advisor Higher Committee of Human Fraternity of the United Arab Emirates, etc.
The plenary session continued with active discussions.
