An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation is participating in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly held in Dayton, U.S.
The head of the delegation, MP Ramid Namazov addressed the event highlighting the recent hybrid attacks against Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, the Azerbaijani MP updated the participants on the information operations conducted against Azerbaijan following the tragic crash of a plane en route from Baku to Grozny on December 25 last year, as well as on the network that was spreading false information about the country utilizing deepfake and other impersonation techniques.
Namazov also highlighted the cyberattacks targeting several Azerbaijani media resources in February of this year, emphasizing that the issue was discussed at public hearings organized by the Milli Majlis Commission against Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats on May 2.
