National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 102nd anniversary marked in Moldova

An event commemorating the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, was arranged at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Chisinau, capital of Moldova.

 

The event brought together senior staff of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Chisinau and the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Moldova, the Moldovan parliamentarians, heads of foreign diplomatic corps, local public and political figures, as well as diaspora activists.

 

In his remarks, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova, highlighted the life and activity of the outstanding statesman, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, his exceptional role and services in the formation and development of the modern history of statehood of the Azerbaijani people. The diplomat mentioned that National Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for relationship between Azerbaijan and Moldova.

Noting that the political course established by the National Leader is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, the ambassador added: “Under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army liberated our territories from occupation and under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, Azerbaijan, that has fully restored its territorial integrity, is rapidly developing.”

 

Speaking at the event, Vitalie Jacot, Moldovan MP, chairman of the Friendship Group with Azerbaijan, described Heydar Aliyev's life and activity as a prime example of how an outstanding statesman and visionary leadership can change the destiny of an entire nation.

 

Elchin Bayramov, Chairman of the Congress of Moldovan Azerbaijanis, emphasized that Heydar Aliyev was a symbol of national unity and progress.

 

Following the remarks, the event participants viewed an exhibition highlighting the life and activity of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
