Azerbaijan’s Economic Council convenes its meeting

On March 10, Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired another meeting of the Azerbaijan’s Economic Council.

The agenda of the meeting included the "Action Plan for the Development of the Agricultural Insurance System" developed by the Working Group to improve the agricultural insurance system and define a new concept, the current situation and policy directives in the field of macroeconomic and financial stability, the key outcomes of monetary policy in 2024, key indicators and development trends in the banking and insurance sectors, as well as the 2024 Report on the monitoring and evaluation results of the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026" and the Action Plan of the " First State Program on Great Return to the Liberated Territories" and other current matters.

The meeting was addressed by Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, Chairperson of the Central Bank, and Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

Majnun Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, delivered report on the agricultural insurance system.

In conclusion, the meeting participants adopted the decisions on the issues discussed with instructions given to the relevant bodies.
