Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, met Friday with Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.

Highlighting the importance of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova noted that Azerbaijan attaches special significance to strengthening the Turkic world.

Speaker underlined that the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, provides an opportunity for Turkic peoples to better understand each other's culture and heritage, as well as promotes tighter bonds amongst the fraternal nations.

Speaker Gafarova noted that the Foundation plays an important bridging role in preserving, promoting, and passing on the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations.

Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, pointed out that the establishment of the Foundation was a right and far-sighted decision. She underlined that culture is a soft power and has a pivotal role in bringing peoples closer together.

During the conversation, Aktoty Raimkulova highlighted the progress made by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, implemented projects and the upcoming plans.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
