On the margins of the Munich Security Conference, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister, Georg Georgiev.
The meeting focused on economic, trade, and energy security aspects of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, as well as regional and international security issues. The importance of the active political dialogue between the two countries was emphasized, alongside the mechanisms of strategic dialogue and political consultations in strengthening bilateral ties. They reviewed the work of the Joint Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
The cooperation in energy security was highlighted as one of the key pillars of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria strategic partnership, with a focus on continuing collaboration in the green energy sector. The parties discussed the projects aimed at enhancing energy supply cooperation and the newly established interconnector routes as practical outcomes of this partnership. The meeting also included discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
