Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov during an official visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs via GPB.
According to the Georgian Government Administration, during their face-to-face meeting, Prime Minister Asadov congratulated PM Kobakhidze on the victory of the Georgian Dream (GD) party in the October 26 parliamentary elections and on his re-election as prime minister. Asadov emphasized that the elections reflected the will of the Georgian people.
The two prime ministers discussed key aspects of the strategic partnership agreement and addressed significant issues related to the Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. They underscored the importance of peace and stability in the region.
Prime Minister Kobakhidze reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to contribute to trilateral dialogue and the development of regional cooperation.
Accompanying the Georgian Prime Minister on this visit is a delegation that includes First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
