Participants of international parliamentary conference pay tribute to Azerbaijani martyrs

Participants of the international parliamentary conference on “Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives” held at Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis,” visited Saturday the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.

They honored Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and sovereignty by placing flowers at their graves. They also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

Additionally, they enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku and were briefed on the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the redevelopment work carried out in the city.

Subsequently, the visitors also visited the “Turkish Martyrdom” monument erected in memory of the heroic Turkish soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Armenian Dashnak troops in 1918, and put flowers at the monument.
