Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia mull interparliamentary cooperation

Türkiye hosted the 9th trilateral meeting of the Committees on Foreign Relations of the Turkish, Azerbaijani and Georgian Parliaments on Tuesday.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Samad Seyidov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, with Turkish and Georgian delegations headed by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament respectively.

The discussions focused on furthering cooperation between the three countries, as well as the current situation in the region including the Middle East.

Fuat Oktay expressed his hope for further enhancing relations with Azerbaijan and Georgia, noting the strategic significance of the South Caucasus region for Türkiye.
