Uzbek media highlights Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations

Uzbekistan’s “kultura.uz” website posted an article by the well-known journalist and writer Ismat Kuchiev highlighting Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations.

The article, published on the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan, hailed multifaceted relations between the two brotherly countries.

Kuchiev commended intensive collaboration existing between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in all areas. He noted that thanks to this mutual activity, new collaborative projects had been planned in the economic, regional, cultural, energy, transport, and educational domains. “Launching new tourism destinations between the two countries, the opening of new enterprises, the implementation of commercial projects, and the expansion of investment cooperation in the targeted areas of the economy are also among the priority issues,” he added.

The author mentioned that during the state visit of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan on August 22-23, the “Treaty on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan” was signed between the two countries. He described this historical event as a new chapter in the history of the statehood of both countries.

The article also highlighted the social and political activity of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
