AIPA: Vote counting in Azerbaijan’s elections held in line with int’l standards

The counting of votes in Azerbaijan's snap parliamentary elections was conducted in accordance with international standards, according to Sos Mousine, a member of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Report informs.

Sos Mousine stated that AIPA observers witnessed sufficient equipment and materials at all polling stations, including voter lists, ballots, inks, and boxes that were opened and verified with the participation of the first voters to arrive.

The AIPA member also praised the Azerbaijani government's efforts in maintaining security and public order throughout the election process.

"Azerbaijan's election system is transparent, allows observers to monitor the voting process, and ensures the accessibility of all relevant information. The counting of votes was carried out in accordance with international standards," he emphasized.
