The first half of 2024 saw a significant increase in Azerbaijan-Serbia trade turnover, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a joint press conference held in Baku with his Serbian counterpart Foreign Minister Marko Djuric, Report informs.
"The economic sphere is of special importance in the relations between the two countries. The Intergovernmental Commission has a special importance here. Cooperation in the field of energy is of great importance in Azerbaijan-Serbia relations," he said.
Bayramov noted that it is planned to deliver 400 million cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas to the Serbian market starting from this year:
"In the near future, this figure is expected to reach one billion cubic meters. This year, about 160,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil has already been delivered to Serbia."
