Uzbekistani media has published an article dedicated to Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, at the initiative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan.

Authored by Elmira Akhundova, People's Writer of Azerbaijan and a well-known journalist, the article appeared in both Uzbek and Russian languages in Uzbekistan's leading "UzA" National Information Agency, as well as on the websites "aniq.uz", "uzdiplomat.uz", www.kultura.uz.

The article highlights Mehriban Aliyeva's contributions to Azerbaijan’s cultural, social, political, and sports spheres. Akhundova noted that her work extends beyond regional matters to include global initiatives. She played a pivotal role in the inclusion of Azerbaijani mugham, the Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve, Ashiq art, and Azerbaijani kalaghayi in the list of cultural heritage.

Regarding her contributions to sports development, Akhundova mentioned that Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the highest honor from the European Olympic Committees (EOC) — the Order of Merit — for her significant contributions to the advancement of sports in Europe.

The article also acknowledges Mehriban Aliyeva's substantial role in the reconstruction of Azerbaijani liberated lands.
