A delegation led by Nikola Selaković, Minister of Culture of Serbia, co-chair of the Azerbaijan-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission from the Serbian side, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 8th session of the Commission, visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, founder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani state, and laid wreath and flowers at his grave.
The delegation also placed flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The Serbian delegation then proceeded to the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity, put flowers at their graves and placed a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
