CIS IPA starts forming observer mission to monitor elections in Azerbaijan

The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (CIS IPA) is forming a group of observers to monitor the early elections to the Parliament of Azerbaijan, which will be held on September 1, 2024, Report informs, citing the organization.

First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia Andrei Yatskin has been appointed coordinator of the group of observers from the CIS IPA.

“At the moment, a group of observers is being formed from representatives of the parliaments of the IPA CIS member states, officials of the Assembly and experts from the CIS IPA International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy,” the organization's press service noted.
