Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC), chaired by Mazahir Panahov, convened for another meeting on Tuesday.
First, the meeting saw the endorsement of the protocol of the commission’s meeting on July 6. The commission members then considered the issue of measures related to polling stations in several constituencies.
Following the discussions of the commission members on the issue and taking into account local and other conditions, as well as the importance of creating the most favourable conditions for voters within the Fuzuli No. 84, Aghdam-Khojali No. 118, Lachin No. 121, Khankendi No. 122, Shusha-Aghdam-Khojavand No. 124 and Zangilan-Gubadli No. 125 constituencies, the establishment of new polling stations and the organization of precinct election commissions in accordance with the requirements of the Election Code have been entrusted to the relevant constituency election commissions.
Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) also considered the applications of seven political parties regarding the registration of their authorized representatives for the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1, 2024. The CEC registered the authorized representatives of Azerbaijan People's Party, Azerbaijan Democratic Party, National Front Party, Justice, Law, Democracy Party, National Independence Party of Azerbaijan, Great Azerbaijan Party and AG Party.
The meeting, attended by representatives of foreign institutions and mass media, also focused on the current issues.
