The upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to take place in Baku, can serve as a measure to ensure peace in the region, director of the Links EUROPE foundation Dennis Summut said, according to Report.
Speaking at the 3rd International Humanitarian Demining Conference on "Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for a Safe and Green Future," Sammut emphasized the significance of Armenia's agreement to host COP29 in Azerbaijan.
"That's why this COP will be special for the entire region," he said.
