AZERTAC employees pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev

Employees of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) visited Friday the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and to lay flowers at his grave.

They also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

AZERTAC employees commemorated the memories of the well-known statesman Aziz Aliyev and professor Tamerlan Aliyev, and placed flowers on their graves.

AZERTAC also hosted a ceremony to commemorate the 101st anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

AZERTAC’s staff first laid flowers at National Leader Heydar Aliyev's bust in the foyer of the building.

The event participants honored memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland, with observing a minute of silence.

Addressing the ceremony, AZERTAC Chairman of the Board Vugar Aliyev highlighted the exceptional services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the restoration of Azerbaijani statehood. Vugar Aliyev underscored that thanks to the National Leader the national state-building process was carried out with determination in Azerbaijan, and the country entered the path of dynamic development. He emphasized that National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s wise policy is being successfully continued by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, noting that under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army crushed the enemy in the 44-day Patriotic War and put an end to the 30-year-long Armenian occupation of its lands.

Chairman of the Board Vugar Aliyev underscored that National Leader Heydar Aliyev had left indelible marks on the development of all realms in Azerbaijan, including the media.
