Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation on the sidelines of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The meeting saw discussions on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, preparations for COP29, as well as the current regional situation.
Jeyhun Bayramov hailed the Russia`s active participation and contribution to the prestigious international events organized by Azerbaijan, including the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The FM underlined that the existing high-level dialogue between the two countries` leaders, as well as intensive contacts, gave impetus to the development of relations. He stressed the importance of continuing the existing bilateral cooperation within regional and international formats.
Emphasizing the work accomplished within the COP29, Jeyhun Bayramov underscored the new opportunities for cooperation in this way.
Highlighting the current regional situation during the post-conflict period, and the process of reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov described the latest agreement reached between the delimitation commissions as a very positive advancement within the peace agenda.
He noted that Azerbaijan is determined to achieve real results on all elements of the normalization process.
Special representative Mikhail Shvydkoy underscored the broad potential for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of education, culture, technology and innovation, and the importance of the joint activity.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
