Nasir Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Iraq, met with Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq.
Ambassador Mammadov presented a letter of invitation from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Iraqi President regarding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid graciously accepted the invitation and expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the invitation to COP29, a major global event.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq.
