"The Western Azerbaijan Community strongly condemns the anti-Azerbaijani stance and approach violating media freedom once again demonstrated by Europen Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar," the Western Azerbaijan Community said in a statement, Report informs via AZERTAC.

"Instead of demanding that Armenia withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani villages, the European Union representative encouraged Armenia to maintain its occupation policy, referring to these lands as "disputed.

Moreover, Toivo Klaar tried to censor Azerbaijani media to conceal Armenia's occupation policy. Toivo Klaar is somehow concerned over Azerbaijani media coverage of Armenia's slaughtering Azerbaijani people in Baganis Ayrim village of the Gazakh district, as well as Armenia's keeping several areas of Azerbaijan, including this village under occupation. It appears that the problem for Klaar is not the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, which committed war crimes against Azerbaijanis and crimes against humanity, but the fact these evidences are highlighted in the media.

The Western Azerbaijan Community urges that the European Union abandon its misguided and hazardous policy, not impede the establishment of peace in the region, and take a fair stance on the return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their homes," the Community added.
