Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia act as true bridge builders as critical, reliable, and sustainable partners, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, said at the meeting with his Turkish and Georgian counterparts, Hakan Fidan and Ilia Darchiashvili, in Baku on March 15. Report informs.

According to Bayramov, today's tripartite meeting is not accidental and is an important initiative: "I am sure that today's integration will directly focus on the scale of the work done in the direction of the implementation of our previous commitments, as well as ensure the further development of bilateral cooperation.

“As you know, the 9th tripartite meeting of foreign ministers was supposed to be held in Azerbaijan in 2021, but, unfortunately, it was postponed due to some reasons. Five years have passed since the 2019 meeting. The world has changed both globally and regionally since the last tripartite meeting. After our meeting, serious events took place in the international arena during the last five years. Against the background of increasing pressure, there is a serious need for regional cooperation. This meeting allows all three countries to benefit from cooperation in areas of mutual interest. At the same time, our cooperation is extremely valuable in terms of contributing to regional and global security and stability," Minister Bayramov added.

Bayramov also stressed that Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia are critical, reliable, and sustainable partners, acting as real bridge builders and standing at the forefront of global efforts to mitigate the consequences of the ever-observed geopolitical turmoil.

“At the same time, as a result of the new reputation of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized status, historical changes have occurred in the regional situation over the past four years. Azerbaijan maintains its uniqueness in the region," he pointed out.
