Deputy to Director-General: COP29 confronted with series of complex challenges

The upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to take place in Azerbaijan, is confronted with a series of complex challenges, Fatou Haidara, Deputy to the Director General and the Managing Director of the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), said at the 4th panel discussions of the 11th Global Baku Forum on “Fixing the Fractured World,” Report informs.

She pointed out that the primary issues revolve around finance and climate change, stating: “Action against climate change is imperative. Each nation should enhance its contributions to these efforts. Moreover, we support the generation of lower carbon emissions.”

Furthermore, Haidara underscored the critical importance of the collective efforts of both the public and private sectors in these endeavors.
