The outdated system can no longer protect our world from threats, Winnie Byanyima, the Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), said at the 11th Global Baku Forum on “Fixing the Fractured World,” Report informs.
She thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the revival he brought to the Non-Aligned Movement and highly appreciated the great preference given to women in this organization.
Winnie Byanyima also spoke about the danger facing the world: "Our world is going through numerous seismic shocks, and the outdated system cannot respond to it. Therefore, in order to insure our planet, the change must be very big. The paradigm of free markets is exhausted. Inequality between our people is increasing. In this regard, a platform like the Global Baku Forum is very important."
