Azerbaijan, Germany explore bilateral cooperation

As part of his working trip to Germany, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held a meeting with State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Thomas Bager.

 

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation, as well as the talks between the Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers held in Berlin.

 

Highlighting the significance of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, the pair pointed out their eagerness on further development of relations.

 

The Azerbaijani minister stated that the slander campaign conducted against Azerbaijan within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the European Union and other platforms, is unacceptable.

 

Jeyhun Bayramov also highlighted the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan, as well as the visit of a delegation of businessmen led by the Executive Director of the German Eastern Business Association. He emphasized that these events would create ample opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

 

The discussion also touched upon prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, recent negotiations, Azerbaijan's stance on the draft peace agreement, and the potential for establishing relations and peace with Armenia. Azerbaijani FM expressed gratitude the German side for their support in organizing meetings in order to advance the process.

 

During the meeting, the two exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
