As part of his working trip to Germany, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock.
The meeting revolved around the current agenda of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the current situation, rapprochement and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Stressing the significance of relations between the two countries, German FM Annalena Baerbock congratulated Azerbaijan on hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Jeyhun Bayramov hailed the dynamically developing contacts between Azerbaijan and Germany and emphasized the importance of discussions held at the highest level during the Munich Security Conference.
The Azerbaijani FM expressed gratitude for Germany's support and initiative in organizing negotiations towards the reconciliation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
FM Bayramov reaffirmed Azerbaijan`s determination to advance the normalization and peace agenda with Armenia. He pointed out that the Armenian side violated the five-months stability aimed at hindering the peace process between the two countries. He also underscored Azerbaijan's objection to Armenia's continuous claims against its territorial integrity and sovereignty, whether in the Constitution of Armenia, legislative acts, international organizations, or courts.
The two also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
