During the occupation, Armenian separatists completely destroyed the cemetery of the Malibayli village in the Khojaly district, Report informs.
The enemy has destroyed the religious, cultural, and historical monuments of the village, which it kept under occupation for more than 30 years, as well as the cemeteries.
The invaders deliberately destroyed the tombstones belonging to Azerbaijanis. They broke the headstones of the graves, stole them away, and dug up the graves. Many tombstones have been made unrecognizable.
After the liberation of Malibayli from the occupation, restoration work started in the cemetery, and several headstones were returned to their original places. But it is not even possible to determine the location of most of the graves.
Malibayli residents who visited the cemetery could not find the graves of their relatives.
