Türkiye’s first indigenous stealth fighter, 'Kaan', has attracted the attention of friendly nations, including Azerbaijan, Temel Kotil, the CEO of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS), told TRT Haber, Report informs.
"Of course, I cannot talk about the issue of sales. This is the responsibility of the state. But ‘Kaan’ is a serious technique," he said.
The CEO added that ‘Kaan’ is significant for brother countries.
‘Kaan’ is Türkiye’s first national combat aircraft, which is produced as an alternative to the US F-22 and F-35 fighters. The plane successfully made its first flight on February 21.
Türkiye has received cooperation proposals from Russia and Ukraine for the joint production of ‘Kaan’. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that ‘Kaan’ will be included in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces in 2028.
