The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has done a lot of work, thanks to which the successful organization of the presidential elections has become possible, the head of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly mission Zhakip Asanov told journalists, Report informs.
“Before the opening of this polling station, we inspected the ballot boxes and made sure that they were sealed. We looked at the voting booths and, in general, how work at the polling station was organized, and also talked with the chairman of the precinct commission,” he said.
Asanov emphasized that after the start of voting, a calm atmosphere and a festive mood were observed among voters.
“We arrived much earlier than the opening of the polling station, but we already witnessed how many people gathered here and waited for the opening of the polling station,” he added.
