Voting in early presidential elections starts in Khankandi for first time in history of independent Azerbaijan

Voting in the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan has begun in the liberated city of Khankandi, the Western bureau of Report informs.

 

The polling station No. 14 of Khankandi electoral district No. 122 opened at 8 a.m. local time.

 

The polling station is located in the central administrative building of the city.

 

For the first time since the country’s independence, elections are being held throughout the territory of sovereign Azerbaijan.

 

The Central Election Commission registered seven presidential candidates - Ilham Aliyev from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, self-nominated Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev from the National Front Party, Fazil Mustafa from the Great Creation Party, Elshad Musayev from the Great Azerbaijan Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev from the People’s Front of Integral Azerbaijan party.
