Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with a delegation led by Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Chairman of the Committee on National Defense of the Parliament, and former Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye Hulusi Akar, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

Colonel General Z. Hasanov welcomed the guests and expressed satisfaction with seeing his former colleague in Azerbaijan again. The Minister emphasized that the friendly and fraternal relations of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye play an important role in the development of cooperation between the two countries in the military field along with all other fields.

Hulusi Akar expressed his satisfaction with today's visit to Azerbaijan and thanked for the shown hospitality. He emphasized that it is of special importance that relations between the two countries reach the level of strategic alliance, and highlighted the significance of such visits.

The meeting discussed regional security and several issues of common interest.
