Iranian MFA official: Judicial process related to attack on Azerbaijani embassy won't be long

The legal process related to the resumption of activities of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran will not be long, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said at a press conference on January 29, Report informs, citing Tasnim.

"Last Saturday (January 27-ed.) there was a trial with the participation of the defendant, lawyers, and the representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan," he said.

Kanaani noted that Iran's judicial system will consider the accusations within the legal framework: "The process was completed with the cooperation of the judicial authorities of the two countries, and the investigation was concluded."

He said that in accordance with the road map of the two countries, delegations in various fields visited each other over the past year: "We hope that the activity of the Azerbaijani embassy will be restored."
