Hulusi Akar arrives in Azerbaijan

The delegation headed by Hulusi Akar, the chairman of the National Defense Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, paid tribute to Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, and laid a wreath in front of his grave in the Alley of Honor on January 29.

Report informs that floral tributes were laid at the resting place of Heydar Aliyev's wife, the distinguished ophthalmologist-scientist academician Zarifa Aliyeva too.

The graves of the heroic children of the Motherland, who died in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, were also visited, and a wreath was laid on the "Eternal Flame" monument.

The guests then enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku as they were informed of the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the redevelopment work carried out in the city.

The delegation also visited the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument erected in memory of the martyred Turkish soldiers and laid a wreath on the monument.

In the end, Hulusi Akar signed the memorial book of the "Turkish Martyrdom.".
