Azerbaijan’s snap presidential election in spotlight of Uzbekistani media

Uzbekistan’s “Tnews.uz”, “Xabar.uz”, “Muzaffar.uz” portals, as well as “O`ZBEKISTON 24” radio station, have aired radio reports and published articles by journalists Fuad Huseynzade and Adil Adilzade titled “Azerbaijan gears up for presidential election” and “Victory election”, shining a spotlight on the snap presidential election in Azerbaijan scheduled for February 7, AZERTAC reports citing the “Secki-2024.az” website.

The reports provided insights into the upcoming snap presidential election in Azerbaijan, highlighting that necessary conditions, in line with Azerbaijani legislation, have been established for the presidential election campaign, featuring a total of 7 candidates vying for presidency.

Furthermore, the articles emphasized the measures undertaken by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting the establishment of 49 polling stations across 37 countries to facilitate Azerbaijani citizens residing abroad or on long-term overseas assignments in exercising their voting rights.

Additionally, the reports addressed the ongoing pre-election preparations in the liberated territories, stressing that the upcoming presidential election will mark the first-ever election in the history of independent Azerbaijan to be conducted across all parts of the country.
