The Central Election Commission (CEC) has approved the accreditation of the US ORACLE ADVISORY GROUP to conduct exit poll together with the Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League in Azerbaijan’s snap presidential election scheduled for February 7,” said CEC Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov as he addressed the commission’s regular meeting held on Friday.

The CEC deputy chairman underscored the US organization’s rich experience in monitoring the election process, saying that the documents submitted by the organization fully comply with the legislation.

He further emphasized that the organization would conduct exit polls in 500 polling stations across 40 regions of Azerbaijan.

“Each polling station will see a presence of 2 people conducting exit poll, majority of which are students. The involvement of young people in this process is of great significance for their firsthand experience. The places for conducting an exit poll in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur have been chosen among the 26 polling stations, which cover Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khankendi, Zangilan and other areas,” Gasimov added.
