Azerbaijani, Argentine FMs talk over phone
Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic Diana Mondino.
During the telephone conversation, Foreign Minister Bayramov congratulated his colleague on her new appointment and wished success in her activities.
The two explored current state of and prospects for Azerbaijan-Argentine relations, highlighting the importance of political consultations between the two countries.
The pair stressed the significance of stepping up the activity of Azerbaijan-Argentina Joint Working Group on Trade and Economic cooperation and preparation for the next meeting.
Highlighting the great potential for expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various domains, including economic, agricultural, alternative energy, education, culture and others, the FMs hailed the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries last year, as well as holding joint events.
Underlining the importance of Azerbaijan’s hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) this year, the sides described it as an important platform for high-level contacts between the two countries.
During the conversation, the ministers also had a broad exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
