The US is interested in holding negotiations to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department Vedant Patel said, Report informs.
“This is something that we’re going to work very hard to get across the finish line in close coordination with Armenia and Azerbaijan and the others who are working on this issue,” he noted.
Answering a journalist’s question about a possible meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington, Patel noted that he didn’t have information on this matter.
“I don’t have any – I don’t have any scheduling updates to offer, Alex, but we look forward to talking more about this soon,” he added.
