The resolution of the French Senate was adopted to please the Armenian diaspora in the country, said Nathalie Goulet, a member of the French Senate, in her statement to Report.
According to her, this is an unnecessary and inappropriate decision at the current stage, when it is important to regulate bilateral relations: "Armenia voted in favor of holding COP29 in Baku. The resolution adopted by the French Senate harms bilateral relations. This decision excludes France as a reliable partner in the context of peace restoration. This document is adopted only to please the Armenian diaspora."
