The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is taking appropriate measures to ensure the voting rights of the Azerbaijani citizens living outside the country or on long-term business trips abroad in the early presidential elections scheduled for February 7.
Report informs citing the ministry that the diplomatic missions and consulates of Azerbaijan prepared and submitted to the Central Election Commission the lists of voters living outside the country or on long-term business trips abroad.
According to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, voting will be held in diplomatic missions and consulates where the number of registered voters exceeds 50 people.
To organize elections outside the country, 49 polling stations have been established in 37 countries.
