Armenia will have to accept Baku’s demands on issues of transit and border delimitation, reads a report published by the US analytical center Stratfor on forecasts for 2024, Report informs.

Yerevan, according to the center’s analysts, will continue to strive to conclude a peace treaty with Baku, but disagreements over the conditions of regional transit corridors will continue to hamper negotiations.

Progress towards a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is likely. Armenia will use its growing political ties with the West and the latter’s military support to confront Baku. But given that Yerevan has little leverage, it is likely to accept the demands, put forward by Baku on issues of transit through the south of Armenia and border delimitation, according to the document.
