"The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has appointed extraordinary presidential elections in the country. This is, of course, a serious decision made in connection with a number of political issues. At the same time, presidential elections will be held in some states fighting for the South Caucasus in 2024. In the international experience, there are many cases where, on the eve of the presidential elections, the pressure and threats of the big powers on the countries that they consider to be their spheres of influence increase. In my opinion, the main importance of the extraordinary presidential elections for our country is to prevent big powers from interfering in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan.

Head of the Central Office of the Umid Party, political scientist Taleh Aliyev said these thoughts to "Xalq newspaper" while commenting on the early presidential elections.

Taleh Aliyev reminded that for a long time, President Ilham Aliyev has been announcing that deep political reforms will be carried out in our country:

- "The year 2024 will be remembered for holding not one, but several elections - parliamentary and municipal elections. These elections will be the beginning of a new stage in the social and political life of our country.

As the Party of Hope, we have declared to the public our official position regarding the February 7 extraordinary presidential elections. Today, our lands have been freed from occupation, we are in control of our state borders, but the process is not over yet. Various external influences, sometimes threats, the failure to conclude a peace agreement still cause concern and great concern. In such a situation, for the conclusion of a policy that was started and successfully carried out, absolute stability and continuity, as well as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who is conducting this process, would be the most appropriate case to carry out his duties until the end.

According to Taleh Aliyev, the Umid Party, which supports the interests of the state of Azerbaijan, the conclusion of the restoration of territorial integrity with a peace agreement, the continuity of the policy, the strengthening of our sovereignty, and the end of this historic success and chance with an absolute victory, will be the current President in the extraordinary elections to be held on February 7, 2024. He supports the candidacy of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and considers it the best decision for our country and people.

The political scientist believes that it is the best decision to continue the stages after the historical victories with President Ilham Aliyev: "Because we believe in the power of Ilham Aliyev to successfully conclude the historical victory achieved on the battlefield in the Second Karabakh War as the supreme commander in chief as a skilled diplomat in the negotiation process."
