Armenians have never established a state in their own land, they have made territorial claims against their neighboring countries throughout history, Turkish MP Shamil Ayrim said at the international event titled "Ensuring the safe and dignified return of displaced Azerbaijanis from Armenia: Global context and a just solution," XQ informs.
He said that the mosques in Yerevan belong to the Turks: "Later, the Armenians completely changed the ethnicity of the region by carrying out the policy of deportation and genocide. Thus, Armenia wrote its name in history as a mono-ethnic state. France, expelled from Africa, is still arming Armenia. Azerbaijan liberated its lands from occupation, and Türkiye also stood by Azerbaijan in its just cause. The whole world should see this."
Ayrim added that he is originally from Igdir, and there are thousands of Azerbaijanis who were exiled from Armenia in Igdir: "We should be with them in their rightful cause. Azerbaijanis who have lived in that region for 100 years have the greatest right to live in their ancestral lands and visit the graves of their ancestors. I think that the right voice of Western Azerbaijanis should get support from the international arena, too."
