Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Kyrgyz People’s Assembly ink MoU

Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov and Speaker of the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan Almanbet Matubraimov have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

During the meeting, Almanbet Matubraimov noted that it is the first MoU signed with Azerbaijan in the Assembly’s history.

He pointed out that more than 100 representatives of national minorities currently live in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that Azerbaijanis living abroad have been mobilized, adding that Azerbaijan has become the leading country in the South Caucasus region.

Fuad Muradov hailed teaching of the Azerbaijani language in Heydar Aliyev School-Gymnasium educational complex No. 20, Nizami Ganjavi Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Secondary School No. 103 and the "Sunday School" of the "Heritage" Public Union in Kyrgyzstan.

He commended the fact the state provides care and attention to Azerbaijanis, who have closely integrated into the Kyrgyz society.

Fuad Muradov highlighted the diaspora policy of Azerbaijan, as well as the activities of the state committee and the large-scale projects.

The sides also exchanged views on prospects for future cooperation.
