An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz as part of its visit to the country.

PM Manuel Marrero Cruz noted the significant role of relations between the national leaders of Azerbaijan and Cuba in developing relations between the two countries’ peoples.

The Cuban PM noted that the contacts between the countries have recently increased, pointing to broad prospects for cooperation in various fields.

Manuel Marrero Cruz emphasized that under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) had strengthened its position in the international arena becoming an organization with a leading political force.

Azerbaijan’s Health Minister Teymur Musayev expressed gratitude to the Cuban PM for the sincere reception and hospitality. The minister described the visit as a logical result of relations between the leaders of the two countries.
