New Azerbaijan Party, Türkiye's AK Party and Northern Cyprus`s National Unity Party seal MoU

As part of the visit of Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Tahir Budagov to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the New Azerbaijan Party, Türkiye's Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and the Northern Cyprus`s National Unity Party (UBP).

The memorandum was signed by YAP Deputy Chairman Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party for Foreign Relations, Bursa MP Efkan Ala and Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Chairman of the UBP Ünal Üstel.

On behalf of the New Azerbaijan Party, Deputy Chairman Tahir Budagov conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He labelled as important the development of relations between Turkic peoples Azerbaijan, Türkiye and the of Northern Cyprus.

Vice Chairman of the AK Party for Foreign Relations Efkan Ala emphasized that the development of relations between the Turkic peoples of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Northern Cyprus is one of the political priorities. Efkan Ala noted that Azerbaijan's victory in Karabakh brought about new realities in the region. He described the full restoration of Azerbaijan`s sovereignty as a historical event.

Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Chairman of the UBP Ünal Üstel underlined that the Turkic world is facing new challenges against the background of current realities in the system of international relations.

"Today, by signing the memorandum of understanding, which clearly reflects the interests of our peoples and the goals of our parties, we are creating solid foundations for mutually beneficial cooperation. I am sure that together we will achieve greater success," Ünal Üstel added.
