“Pakistan openly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. We want our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters to return to their land. We demand the prevention of any terrorism and violence against Azerbaijan and its people,” Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN Munir Akram, answering a question from the local bureau of Report about the UN Security Council meeting held by the US mission on Karabakh.

“Today a meeting of the UN Security Council was held, at which the Karabakh problem was again discussed. Our position in the ongoing Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has always been transparent. Pakistan openly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and we want to find a peaceful solution to this issue. We stand together with our Azerbaijani brothers in their just war,” he emphasized.

The ambassador emphasized that relations between the two fraternal countries Pakistan and Azerbaijan are based on historical roots: “Since ancient times, there have been traditionally friendly ties. These relations are strengthening every day.”
